My three-month anniversary in LA has passed and it's so odd to say it...but it's kind of starting to feel like home. I've been so lucky to reconnect with old friends and make new ones who have all really showed up for me - especially when my computer hard drive broke last week! Que pena!
Here are a few additional milestones to add to the list I started when I arrived.
-Recorded another radio play...this time for a colleague in Austin. I'm super excited for it to come out!
-Signed with my new Manager (and "old" friend), Madilynn Beck Weant at Concept Lottery
-Auditioned for a few high profile projects that I can't talk about - but yay!
-The project I worked on for Facebook was released on tech blogs and such! The app is being tested in Ireland and will be released "soon."
Here is the video:
Here are the links to the blogs I've popped up on so far:
-Got new headshots done and I cannot wait to share them with you once they're edited!
-Submitted Más Cara to 50 Playwrights Project's collection of unproduced plays by Latinxs *fingers crossed!*
-Went to a UCLA Football Game
-Am able to get around parts of the Valley without my GPS
-Had a couple of hiking adventures with one of my new friends who's been so wonderful
-Sent in my audition for the CBS Diversity Initiative
-My first paying VO project got a mention in the NY Times
-To top it all off, I got to attend the Nickelodeon Halloween party with my friend as one of her dates - and serendipitously happened to be able to participate in a group costume of the Fairly Odd Parents as an anti-fairy.
So, as I continue to get grounded here and make it feel more like home, I'm also hellbent on achieving more of the impossible...
